In war, neither sides win. One just loses more than the other. We can only find out who really "won" a year from now. Will the Lebanese army and the UN actually try to put up a fight against Hezbullah? Will Hezbullah come back armed and equipped much better than before? Will the Lebanese government get kicked out in the next election and replaced by Hezbullah? What will Israel do now? Olmert and Bush is declaring victory...but Israeli military commaders are saying otherwise. As a matter of fact today, there were huge outbursts in the "victory speech" given by Olmert by the officials in Parliament today. So, who really won? In my opinion, it was just a huge waste of precious lives, buildings, ammunition, time, etc. Nothing was accomplished for any side. Except for Hezbullah's popularity soaring in the Muslim world and a bloody nose for the IDF, not a whole lot was really accomplished (unless you count the first two as big accomplishments). So yeah, I say within a year we will find out what happened and who really "won," whatever the hell that is supposed to mean...
