The US is now the worlds largest oil and natural gas producer. What motivation does it have for Venezuelan oil?
Shale gets you light oil. Not heavy oil.

What percentage of oil does the US take from Iraq? I honestly think the whole, "invade a country to take its oil" schtick is overrated when it comes to America.
Iraq has to deposit all its oil revenues in US banks. And the US decides how the Iraqi government spends their own money.

There are different grades of oil. Shale oils are light oils that can’t be refined into diesels and other products.

Wow, it didn't take long for a new model to pop up. Noticed how I didn't say "new & improved"?

To fix all the issues with the XM7, they basically nerfed it to the ground.

- Shortened the barrel from 13 inches to 10 inches
- Shortened the suppressor even more
- Removed the folding stock and replaced it with a fixed stock
- Lightened the internals, such as the bolt

They turned the rifle into a CQB battle rifle. It's no longer a long-distance DMR-esque battle rifle. LMAO. You're not shooting at +700 meters with this new model.

Here are some funny comments from the video:

1 - "Next Generation Squad Weapon- Next Gen. First they shorten the barrel. They lighten the internal components. Then they make the suppressor smaller. Next they'll shrink the cartridge to increase the combat load and reduce the weight more. Then they'll fix the handguard in place to solve the accuracy and zero retention issues. Woops, they made an M4, fancy that"

2 - "I can’t stop laughing while listening to the list of changes. Stared as a 1000-meter armor penetrator, ended up as a CQB 7,62"

3 - "I eagerly await the 21st century's M14's replacement."

4 - "As a prior US Marine infantryman, I detest this rifle and the US Army's reasoning. It ignores so many precepts and principles. The fact is, back in the days when rifles were this heavy (before my time) the infantryman carried far less weight in ancillary gear. He wore a flak jacket (sometimes), had a helmet, and 782 (webgear) that consisted of little more than a very small first aid kit, water, a knife and/or bayonet, maybe a few grenades, and enough ammunition to only support semi-automatic fire. Then we went to the M16 system. Our gear weight increased, but the rifle and ammunition load became smaller. Now ... poor bastards get to carry an entire Walmart on their belts and back, carry a rifle that's as heavy as a Garand, and less ammunition. No, either there's a complete idiot in the US Army command mix or the payoff is in. I'm guessing both."

Does anyone want to take a bet on how long it will be until they completely discontinue this rifle?

Regarding the bizarre fetishization of performative bullshit that Hegseth and co. are leading the Department of WAR down. You know it's bad when the Americans are making memes in Chinese.

It's delusional of them to think that they can get air superiority over Chinese forces to begin with.
