The search for three Marines missing after an MV-22 crash off of Australia has been suspended, according to a late Saturday statement from III Marine Expeditionary Force.

“On Aug. 6 at around 3:00 a.m. local time, the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps suspended search and rescue operations for three Marines involved in the Aug. 5 MV-22 Osprey mishap off the east coast of Australia. Operations have now shifted to recovery efforts,” read the statement.
“The transition comes after teams led continuous sustained search efforts supported by aircraft and ships. As the sea state permits, recovery efforts will be conducted to further search, assess and survey the area, in coordination and with assistance from the Australian Defence Force. Recovery and salvage operations can take several months to complete, but can be extended based on several environmental factors.”

Families of the missing Marines, now presumed lost at sea, have been notified.

The Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group and the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit led the search with assistance from the Australian Defence Forces.

The MV-22 was assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 265 (Reinforced), 31st MEU and was carrying 26 – five crew and 21 passengers — and was headed to the amphibious warship USS Green Bay (LPD-20) when the mishap occurred,

Australian Minister of Defence Marise Payne said in a statement that no Australian forces were aboard.

NAVSEA: New SPY-6 Radar Scores in Ballistic Missile Defense Test

The radar bound for the Navy’s new Flight III Arleigh Burke guided-missile destroyers successfully tracked a complex ballistic missile target as part of a battery of tests to prove out the new system, Naval Sea Systems Command announced on Thursday.

The Raytheon-built AN/SPY-6(V) Air and Missile Defense Radar (AMDR), based at the Pacific Missile Range Facility at Kauai Hawaii, detected and tracked medium-range ballistic missile target for the test on July 27, 2017, NAVSEA said.

First when did the RQ-170 get Spoofed? Answer years ago And changes have been made since then.
So the concern on this is likely more the result of that.
Second if the Chinese Super Encryption is as advertized, They will not share with the US.
Military secrets are Military secrets.
but that matters little in this case these are short range Quad Rotor drones that are used in line of sight so no Quantum SAT com. These are for use with a Laptop style controler a common off the Shelf controller. And bonus points go to the fact that there are now handheld Anti Drone systems
The changes being made today caused the retirement of the RQ-170 and millions of dollars down the drain. The fact that this happens means it cost more to protect it from being hacked than to hack it using traditional (today's) internet method. As far as the Chinese Super Encryption goes, who says the US couldn't research and develop their own? Yes, the US is behind in that field, but with money, will, and people power anything could be possible.

The short range Quad Rotor drones still requires a laptop with satellite connection for GPS and communication doesn't it? Therefore it is still a small possibility of getting hacked (by a very gifted and trained hacker of course).

Oh and on the RQ170, there is no actual evidence of retirement in fact at least one unit was seen at Vandenberg this year in active flight. Farthermore there is no evidence of wide scale production. If anything all evendince is of very few ever being built. The RQ170 may have been a repourpoused flight demonstrator that entered a limited run like what happened to the F117.
So in the end all evidence is the Iranian capture did not kill the RQ170.
