Given the speedy development, I don't expect much difference between Abrams x demo and m1e3.
What exactly is the M1E3? If it is based on the AbramsX then it is a major upgrade to the Abrams with hybrid electric drive, integrated APS, unmanned turret, autoloader and three man crew.

According to the linked article,
Software-driven, modular, and designed for a smaller crew, with integrated active protection systems to counter anti-tank guided missiles, rocket-propelled grenades, and drone threats.

It sounds like the M1E3 will have some of those upgrades, but I guess we will need to wait for further confirmation.

The US Army deployed the Typhon medium-range missile system for the first time at Marine Corps Base Iwakuni as part of the annual bilateral Resolute Dragon exercises in Japan. The US-Japan Resolute Dragon exercises will be held in Japan from September 11 to 25. The Typhoon system is designed to launch Standard Missile-6 and Tomahawk cruise missiles, which can be armed with nuclear warheads and have a range of approximately 2,000 kilometers. The system's deployment in Japan is temporary and limited to the maneuvers.
