It is a lot stealthier. For ships stealth matters in the sense that they could be confused for fishing boats and civilian ships of smaller tonnage.
That's true if you are trying to detect ships with RADAR. But ships are so big they can be detected optically through satellites. Ships are slow enough that pretty much every ship can be tracked all the time from port using satellites. So, I don't know how useful the stealth shaping is.

If its really useful then next gen Chinese ships should follow the zumwalt style design.

I don’t think satellites have the kind of bandwidth to track an entire navy and provide realtime firing solutions…

The Marine Corps scraps its land-based Tomahawk missile launcher program in favor of the new NMESIS system

The two news are the US giving up mainly on HIMARS for anti-ship purposes against China and switched to NSM and also canceling the ground-launched Tomahawk remaining only with NMESIS, citing logistical complications in both situations.
The marines think they’ll have air cover?
