I travel to Houston Texas to visit MD Anderson Cancer center each year to get a check up.
I was diagnosed with serious malignant bone cancer in 2009 and then went through three major surgeries, a rebuild, recovery and then very serious rehab in 2010.
So each year I go back for a check up.
We are back home in Idaho now after the check up and everything is looking good right now. With major cancers there is always the risk of the disease returning so we get checked up each year...or sooner if there is a problem.

Life is such that we all face issues, difficulties, and illness.
We may not get to choose what afflicts us or when, but we do get to decide how we respond to it in terms of our outlook...and I chose to try and remain positive and help others. It feels better to smile and remain happy, than to get down and depressed.

I see that photo of GW with those E/A-6B Prowlers on the fantail. If those bad boys all start up at the same time anyone in any space from the 03-level down to after emergency steering won't be able to hear a thing. Those birds were LOUD!..past loud in fact!
CVW-5 aboard Ronald Reagan now has Growlers..in fact I do believe that all Prowlers have been retired from USN service.
