I hope I'm not being unnecessarily anal-retentive. Here are my thoughts on improving the readability of the forum further:
1) The main text display area for each post should have a white background as opposed to the present light gray. Right now, the contrast between the text and background is insufficient.
2) Areas other than the main text display area should switch to darker backgrounds. Specifically, the member display card to the left of each post and the likes-received box should have a slightly darker background. The reason for this is that white background grabs more attention than darker backgrounds. Presently, I have to consciously bat away the non-essential (white) areas to focus on the (gray) main text areas.
3) The member display card stands out too much and clutters the view. In my opinion, it shouldn't be a 'floating box'. It should rather be like a column running the entire vertical length of the post, sharing the top, left and bottom borders with the post itself.
4) There should be a header band for each post. The band should contain the date and time of the post, in the same manner as the old forum. There should also be a footer band that contains options such as reply, quote, and like buttons, again in the same manner as the old forum.
5) The forum body width should be reduced by about 15% to reduce eye traverse.
Thank you for your patience. I really appreciate it!
Thanks, i will look into these in coming days.
