Last time China listened to the world pacifists, Japan invaded China and took land from China piece by piece and the world did nothing. China can maintain peace now because Mao has the gut to go into war with the UN and the US and push them back all the way to 38 parallel line. China can have peace and independent because its soldiers have spill blood for it not because of moral or world peace craps that the so called international ruled base order selling everyday.

Well the USA did something. It imposed an oil embargo on Japan which ultimately led to Pearl Harbour.

Some western airlines are now refusing to land in Russia, because they cannot ensure the safety of their aircraft on the return flight. KLM diverted two flights in mid-air today that were bound for Moscow. The embargo appears not to be just against sending spare parts to Russian airlines, but Russia itself.

I was born in Fujian and grow up in Hong Kong. I know more about Hong Kong, Taiwan, Taiwanese than you would think of. Hong Kongers might have been more westernized than Taiwanese but Taiwanese have been much more Japanized than Hong Kongers. Hong Kongers might have been brainwashed but many would still care enough to donate money to mainland China and consider themselves as Chinese except some youngsters. In the contrary, Taiwanese would only donate money to Japan but not to China and ridicule China when China offered helps to Taiwan.

In the late 90s and early 00s, there are still many Taiwanese who would support an eventual peaceful reunification. But that's the case anymore.

KMT is not what it used to be. KMT can't no longer advocate for peacefully reunification. Its members have been infiltrated by opportunists and pro-independents that disguised as neutral.

The US and the UK continued to sell weapons, oil and many things to Japan that enabled Japan to invade China in the first place. When Japan ambition got out of hand, then the US decided to impose embargo. What a joke? You want to talk about how Imperial UK helped imperial Japan became a major power in Asia.
