The best Ukraine could try, now, is to race whatever armor they have, west of the Dniepr, to try and pressure the rear and flank of the Russian armored column bearing on their Capital from the west.

Is there a Ukrainian Patton or Rommel?

Even Rommel was defeated in North Africa when he lost Air Superiority. The Russians are dominating the Air, Land and Sea. Any massed Ukranian force can be hit from the air and MLRS before it gets anywhere near the main Russian formations.

The Ukrainian military only has 3 options now:

A) Surrender
B) Disperse and mount an insurgency
C) Get evaporated

I don't think insurgencies are useful. Ukraine is too flat for small units to hide

giving up half of your country does not look good politically. Also, Russian air power is going to inflict heavy losses on Ukrainian vehicles
