Is the West still supporting Kiev? By support I mean direct material support. And if NATO troops are not going into Ukraine, how are they escorting shipments to Kiev?

Are you suggesting that the Russians will surround the city and force them to surrender with a prolonged siege?
The Ukrainians reinforced the East with their best units to head off Russian expansion of the Donbass + incursions towards Kharkiv. They got the easy prediction right as things escalated since December.
But it's a no win solution because they're outnumbered and politics demands they have to try and hold Eastern Ukraine at any cost.
You'll have to thank Putin's mixed signals for that.
I would wager the deployments will show the Ukrainians significantly outnumber the Russians+Separatists in the East. But they can't take the initiative or redeploy to properly head off the North and South thrusts.
