the reason i think this is because by the way Russian forces are operating. they are invading like the except little resistance and it would be like a repeat of Iraq war in terms of where soldiers surrenders in masses . i say this not because of the type of equipment
I understand why Russia would want to hold back their tip of the spear sort of speak.( both strategical and monetarily reasons).

They're saying Kiev will be taken whenever Russia decides to go in.

Russian ground forces are forming up 20 miles outside Kiev.

Ghost of Kiev was probably just some Russian dude flying CAP patrols over Kiev taking potshots at random aircraft that were flying within 50 miles.

Russians can mobilize their air defenses which some do have long striking distances. I guess we will all stay confused.

Real. Very few aircraft, fixed-wing or rotary, that have been downed or captured so far though so that is good.

Only 2 Ka-52s have been verified to have been downed, and I believe 1 Su-25. That's it so far. Not bad.
