This applies to the first attack, which began on February 24 and was poorly prepared on the Russian side and carried out amateurishly.
The real test is the second attack beginning these days. It can be expected that the Russian side will be better prepared and carried out in a more concentrated manner. And it remains to be seen to what extent the Ukrainians will be able to use effective and, most importantly, unexpected methods of asymmetric warfare.
They have the lowest stocks of all western NATO countries and they've realised that they are one country away from a potential invasion. They need to be rearming more than anyone.
If anything, You have shown You don't know how lighting works
You have to see that those were Warsaw Pact, not Soviet Union, so the type of hardware they had was more limited. A lot of Warsaw Pact nations did not even get the T-72 because it was too expensive. So a lot of them had T-55s. After they send the T-72s the Czechs had, the only major supply of T-72 is either Poland or former Yugoslavia. But if they send the PT-91s Poland has to Ukraine, then Poland will basically have next to no tanks of its own. If they send the tanks their allied nations have in Yugoslavia, then those will be seriously outnumbered against Serbia. And NATO seems to be pushing a conflict in Bosnia right now. As is Serbia already has more tanks than those countries. And more modern ones.
I would not put much faith on the numbers either side put out. This reminds of the bodycount cult the US army had in Vietnam.
You typically can sort of rely on estimates each side in a war puts out of its own manpower losses. But the other side's losses forget it.
Interesting statement from the Russian MoD:

That's a third rescue attempt that's been stopped, this time using a civilian ship.❗️The main thing from the new statement of the Russian Ministry of Defense:
On the evening of April 8, the Kyiv regime made a new unsuccessful attempt to evacuate the leaders of the Ukrainian Nazis by sea from Mariupol;
