this is the result of a generation told they're the best, have every opportunity, living off the fruits of the labor of their past greater generations. and the ultimate decline of the uk economy and shrimp like size compared to that of great industrial China which is now taking away the top uk markets in science and cutting edge technology. the uk is fully Americanized they eat up all the bs negativity about china and now solely believe china is the reason for their suffering, let them suffer. not to mention the brain rot media programming for years portraying social influencers and criminality as positive traits for society and catering to every whim of drug addicted parasitic leech behaviors. the uk has lacked positive good role models, this is a staple function for any civilization to not fall into despair but now I'm afriad we're reaching Germany 1930s levels of desperation and rhetoric in the UK.

Amid the worsening situation with the Houthis in Yemen, British Typhoon fighters attacked two Yemeni Houthi targets in Bani and Abbs with Paveway IV guided bombs. The Paveway IV guided bomb with a modified laser and GPS guidance system has been produced by the American-British company Raytheon since 2008. The pilot of the aircraft can pre-program the operating mode of the bomb fuse. There are three modes in total: air detonation of a bomb over the target, detonation after hitting the target with a time delay, and detonation after hitting the target. The weight of the Paveway-IV bomb is 225 kilograms. The bomb is used by England, the USA, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

In the context of stories such as this, I wanted to take a look at UK personnel numbers over time.

article from The Guardian contains personnel data from the Defense Analytical Services and Advice deparment of UK MoD from 1900 through 2011. For more recent data I have used the latest quarterly statistics published

on that same department's website, specifically the numbers given for "all UK Regular Forces".

Or if we want to omit the "outliers" of the first and second World Wars:

It's worth keeping in mind that the population of the UK has steadily grown across this entire period, increasing by about 50% over the last century, so the personnel trends relative to the size of the population are even more stark. Even confining our attention to relatively recent times, the number of regular forces personnel as a proportion of the total population has decreased by nearly one-third since the Global Financial Crisis, from 304 regular personnel per 100k population in 2008 to 206 in 2023.

Does this include population growth from immigration?

This is amusing. If you read the article title you would think they increased production eight fold. But it seems they want to increase production eight fold until 2025. This requires building new facilities and ramping them up. Yep. Not the same.
