Well, to be frank, I'm following the notion that 076 is still going to be an LHD with angled deck and CATOBAR, instead of a medium CV with a well deck.

True. Though, I‘m mainly concerned with how much extra displacement would the EMALS, catapults, larger flight deck, larger hangar deck etc result on the 076 compared to the 075.
For reference, the 075 at full load is ~40 thousand tons. Meanwhile, the Liaoning is ~60 thousand tons, and Shandong is ~65 thousand tons at full load. So I was being cautious on making wild guesses on how to sort-of "expand" the 075 into 076 without actually going into the medium CV realm.

I think a CATOBAR LHD is a good idea for China. Drones are an integral part of land warfare and STOL and VTOL always come with compromises, especially if you are going to launch anything beyond mini-UAVs.
But this time, he made the 076 into a pure medium/UCAV carrier with no well deck...
It would be better to combine his 1st and 2nd designs into one, if we can go into the 50-55 thousand-ton displacement range with the 076. Also, 076 is still an LHD, not a CV afterall.
To put it simply: Angled deck (with the front end of landing deck well-clear of the fore deck, please) + 2x EMALS + arresting gear + 2 deck-side elevators + well deck + normal propeller shafts + smaller island.

The first clear images of a well-advanced hull should tell us a lot about the capability requirements of the Type 076. How much emphasis on launching and recovering fixed-wing aircraft, how much emphasis of operating LCACs, and how much emphasis on helicopter operations? Will one of these requirements have more or less important than the others? Remains to be seen.
How do you know that these modules and components are meant for 076?

Though I don't agree with the said CGI. We have an aircraft carrier there. And there is no well deck. I don't think China would build an amphibious ship that isn't capable of launching ZBD-05s, a unique capability of China.
Since that's the case, now I don't really see any point for China to continue building 075s anymore.
With the experience of (mass)-producing and deploying the 075, I have a hunch that the PLAN and Hudong-Zhonghua are now confident enough to jump straight towards constructing the 076, and upgrade that to serial production when they are ready/required.
Agree. Though, after all these while, I think that the general consensus has been leaning towards the 076 combining the roles of an LHD and a UCAV CV into one single hull.
One thing to consider: Fujian would be in excesss of 80 thousand tons once fully loaded, while 075 is around 40 thousand tons at full load. In other words, 075 is around half the displacement of the Fujian.
Assuming that future Chinese nuclear-powered supercarriers would be displacing around 100-110 thousand tons, halfway that would be somewhere around 50-55 thousand tons. I think this range is reasonable for the 076.
Though, the only issue is how Hudong-Zhonghua is going to serial-produce the 076 like they did with the 075, considering that they would be sorely needed for that one particular island to the southeast of China in the coming years. But hopefully with the completion of the new shipyard site at Changxin later this year, perhaps the construction speed can be massively improved just in time for the 076.
