There are 34 of them, not to be used out too soon lol. But the current speculation is that the coastal province names are reserved for a carrier, which is still ~10.

China has 21 + 1 provinces .. plus municipalities regions Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin and Chongqing .... plenty really

If you have more than 10 supercarriers then you may be getting more provinces.

So I have a odd question, does this mean that they are gonna retire the 071 ATD? or are they gonna upgrade refit them with some upgrades? I saw that they still use the old AK-630's instead of HQ-10's or H/PJ-14's? Will they ever add those to the 071's if they are gonna keep them?

And they still have 4 more to build of the 075 LHD, are they going to finish the rest or just build more 076's?
