Why is there black smoke?A 052DL (extended deck variant) leaving Dalian shipyard for sea trials.

To answer his question for those who are genuinely interested -- in this case, if the ship is proceeding for a sea trial after a period of fitting out, the engines will initially expel some darker smoke because the engines haven't been running for a bit.
This is not uncommon for many ships if they've been at port for a bit, regardless of navy.

this is slightly off-topic, but continuing from the explanation, is the black smoke caused by the leftover fuel in the engine, making the combustion ratio/mixture less than ideal and thus the black smoke?

Could be a rich fuel mixture upon engine startup, which is quite common for all types of engines. The smoke goes away after the mixture becomes optimal.
