In retrospect the F-35 ban is not such a bad thing after all. Without it I doubt that Turkey would have so much incentive to get a domestic fifth gen ready in such a short period of time. F-35 sale to Greece probably helped too.
There's big space between the engine ! Wide bird ! That's usefull volume. Will be so interesting to see the weapons bay if they are deep.

Congratulations to Turkey for becoming the 5th country after the US, Russia, China and South Korea to fly a fifth generation fighter aircraft. This is huge occasion not just for Turkey.
South Korea's KF-21 is more like 4.8/4.9th-gen fighter rather than a 5th-gen fighter. So technically speaking, Turkey is the 4th nation to fly their own 5th-gen fighter.
