I was about to say the same you did. The only aero engine company that's doing it in Canada is PW and it's not even a Canadian company but an American one.Because of PWC:
"Although PWC is a division of P&W, it does its own research, development and marketing as well as the manufacturing of its engines. The company currently has about 10,000 employees worldwide, with 6,000 of them in Canada."
NEVERWill the west call this a copycat of J-20?
Turkey is working on deriving a guided bomb for UAVs from 120 mm mortar bombs. An aerodynamically suboptimal but very cheap option. The range-speed-altitude graphic is a nice addition. The Turkish defense industry is a delight to watch because of its openness and how many projects are going on.

More like the mid-1970s. It all started with a blanket ban on weapon sales by the US after the Cyprus conflict. At that point, even the kitchenware the Turkish Army was using was of American origin. The first major goal was to develop indigenous military radios. It expanded from there.Very impressive, how come that Turkey has such strong R&D in recent years? Unlike China they get weapons from east and west if they like. Was F-35 Fiscco a wakeup call or is turkish MIC in the making since the early 2010's?
