It's noteworthy even an Editorial from Japanese newspapers singling out Japan as being isolated while US and world upgrades relations with China.

Hence, Takaichi is desperate to understand if Trump threw Taiwan under the bus.
The problem with the Japanese is that they always think they are very important (in the eyes of Americans).
In the 1970s, they complained that the Americans had not notified Japan before establishing contact with China.Fifty years have passed, yet they still haven't realized this point.
I’ve always had my doubts about how Japan defines its global status. Are they acting as a 'Sub-lieutenant' to the US, or perhaps a 'Viceroy' beneath the American Emperor?
