What can Trump offer China? Trump came in here with no leverage he has to give something nice or walk away with nothing. Considering the band of tech CEOs (unless trump just didn’t want to feel alone) could we see something like Chinese EV access in the United States? Anything on the Taiwan issue?

There was a story that Trump wants his family to be the richest in the world and it's being claimed that's why Trump is coddling with non-democratic oligarchs in order to do it. And why is Trump able to do that? Because US democracy has failed in their supposed superior democratic checks and balances while in context with China they're bragging about how superior their system is. US allies' economies are suffering because they have to follow Trump's and Biden's orders on who and what they can trade with. They're the ones that taunted decoupling with China and then had changed it to de-risking because decoupling means the two sides disconnect when they still need China to keep buying from them. Ironic because Trump is clear eyed on what he has to try to do to make his family the richest in the world unlike all his critics who want to stick to their guns on thinking they don't need anyone but everyone needs them.
Just quit your job and start live streaming on Douyin as a new career — people in both China and the U.S. will thank you.

From what I've been watching on the mainstream news channels is that's how the US has leverage over China because they would go through all this pomp for an American President. But they then they add in to counter their own own logic how China's grand opening ceremony at the 2008 Olympics was fake pomp...? Then in the meanwhile China's talks with Tajikistan is font page on Chinese newspapers while Trump's arrival is secondary.
