What are the chances Xi is going to give Trump as lavish as a summit as the last one? You know that's what Trump's team lobbied? Is China going to give it to him especially when Trump does what the US usually does and slaps sanctions right before on China just so they can think they're in the driver's seat. That's what some pundits in the news media are claiming that Trump still has a stronger hand. They're actually using Iran as an example. Of what? What the US will do to China? Xi should give nothing if Trump doesn't offer anything significant for China. If Trump is going to allow Chinese EV factories in the US despite how Congress is heavily against it, China should declare only friendly to China states get Chinese factories and watch them battle each other for it after they've been working against it because you know if they are built, they're mostly going to the most traditional anti-China states. Just like the soybean states are Republican. They should not be rewarded.
