Perhaps I am over my head in saying this but the PLAN heavy DDG 055 and 054B frigates do have really beautiful lines-as well as the sleek,potent naval J35's("what the F35 should have been"-YT comments)Maybe it's Asian design aesthetics like Yamato/Musashi which were huge,deadly,and sleekly beautiful albeit outdated by WW2.So the PLAN design bureaus have great engineers,shipbuilders ,technicians and maybe designers like arts/design people(?) in the mix.
I keep wondering what event will be the final straw before the Trump regime goes full fascist? With the way they behave, I cannot see them giving up power in 2026 if they loose the mid-term elections. The government shutdown might allow they to do some fuckery that places them in power permanently.

Looks like negotiations aren’t going well since they don’t expect a Xi-Trump meeting until next year. No meeting even at upcoming APEC? Expect Trump to act-out before then.
Purdue's Southern accent makes him sound like a slave master trying to convince slaves that it’s their God-given right that Chinese have to serve white people. The Chinese are not suppose to look out for their own interests. They’re supposed to look out for their master’s interests first.
What happened to decoupling with China…? Yes, we’re a long way from that now but they seem to need reminding. The West, and that’s including Europe who sound no different from Trump in this regard, is in a situation they put themselves in, they’re rich because they stole what they had from everyone else. This is what it’s like when they have none of their colonies to take what they didn’t have themselves. The West doesn’t have rare earths because they can’t produce them without exploiting someone else just like what colonialism did for them.
What are they expecting from China on rare earths? Just go produce themselves. Problem solved. But they’re still annoying China about it for some reason despite how they’re bragging how they have alternatives now.
China is suppose to rectify the problem for them. They can’t have slaves without people volunteering to be their slaves because that would make them look bad if they forced people into slavery like they use to. That’s what they’re asking of China but they ain’t going to say it out loud in that way. That’s why they get angry and frustrated at China because they think dumb Chinese haven’t figured it out that’s what they want. Some will say that’s absurd. Yeah and these people think just calling something not what it is… makes it not it…like involuntary servitude instead of slavery. They think that makes the difference.
