has withdrawn the nomination of Landon Heid, a China hawk, for a key post in the U.S.-China tech battle, raising questions about whether the move signals a more dovish approach to Beijing. Trump withdrew Heid's nomination on Wednesday for assistant secretary for export administration at the U.S. Department of Commerce, according to the Congress.gov website. The president had selected him in February for the post overseeing export controls for national security.

Chris McGuire, an expert on technology and national security who served at the U.S. Department of State until this summer, called the withdrawal "very concerning" on Thursday. "Hopefully this does not signal that the Administration plans to further weaken U.S. restrictions on sales of our most advanced technologies to China, but I fear that it does," McGuire wrote in a social media post on X.

I watch videos that come across my YouTube home page and it makes me wonder if their algorithms are working correctly. For some reason for a time I was getting a lot of hunting videos. I don’t own guns and I don’t hunt. But I guess once you click on the video just out of curiosity, the flood gates open. Then it stopped. I thought maybe YouTube was probably getting complaints at the gruesomeness of animals being videoed being shot with guns and arrows. But I guess it was just the weird algorithms because now I’m getting another wave of videos.

I watched some of them and it was gruesome. Is that what happens to the human body when it gets shot? The expert hunters know to go for the spinal cord usually around the neck because then their prey can’t take off to die later somewhere else to have to go have to find. When it misses the spinal cord, there’s a lot wrenching of the body before death.

I wondered if that if Kirk’s assassin was a hunter because watching it looked exactly like a video of baboon hunters. One baboon was just sitting on his butt facing the camera and then you see it get shot around the neck and it tilts over frozen faced. No other reaction. I’m sure hunters are desensitized by it. Most MAGA are probably hunters. By the reaction of them to the Kirk shooting… maybe stuff like this shouldn’t be censored.

A minor correction-Iam a hunter -bow /otherwise -and one usually aims for approximatelly 1/3 up the foreleg as to penetrate the chest/ heart and the great vessels like the aorta also the lungs -you may also break leg/shoulder joints(engine and transmission so to speak)even with a perfect shot such as a wild animal's vitality it will run for some meters/yards before expiring and being chased will exacerbate the situation.A spine shot is very lucky and not oftened used as the heart/lung is preferred.I also sense finding engraved bullets etc a bs.
