I remember seeing the Daniel Pearl video decades ago and I can still remember it today. Also the large scale ISIS videos. Ukraine and Gaza videos super effed up too.

Its far easier to watch than videos of Palestinan kids getting killed, which he supported and cheered for, which in turn makes it infinitely easier to the point of repeat viewing

To be fair, this was most likely going to happen anyway regardless of how strict the anti-gun laws are. The bitter and vitriol political environment in the US that Kirk ironically contributed to is causing people to resort to extreme measures in an attempt to further their cause.

I mean if USA passed a constitutional amendment repealing the 2nd amendment and just went full China/Japan and basically nobody is allowed to have a gun at all, it's possible that level of restriction would prevent this sort of assassination. However realistically that's never going to happen so yeah it's mostly just everybody turning the political temperature up to boiling. There have been close calls in the past, most notably Trump during the campaign but that's hardly the only one, so it was only a matter of time before somebody succeeded.

Well given the current climate in the USA, something like this was almost destined to happen eventually. Despite the political leanings of this guy, his death is shocking and ultimately a prelude to how even figures that are supposed to be part of the protected class cannot be guaranteed safety, especially with how the nation is literally on the cusp of it own destruction while trump is too busy trying to downplay the severity of the crisis while continuing to shrill for Israel at his own peril. All those dollars or support for Israel cannot possibly be worth all the disgrace he is in right now along with a high chance of something like this shooting incident repeating itself with him as the target yet again

This is not right to say yet I am glad there is one less conservative MAGA white alpha male mouthpiece that we will be hearing from.
His lack of symphathy towards people from other races, beliefs and nations makes me lack sympathy for him.
