Means you don’t understand how deep US influence and support runs in her allied countries.Sorry to burst your bubble but most US allies will still stand with the US WHEN PUSH COMES TO SHOVE at the end of the day . No question about that, even despite trump’s unpredictability and craziness (much lesd
Plus it’s silly to say US allies will only throw more bodies on the front line. Seriously, are u joking? lol. you know that most of the most industrialized powers on earth are US allies right? So if this industrialized developed and technologically advanced countries can only offer bodies on the frontline , then I suppose every other country on earth is just a primitive village. lol. This level of underestimating other industrialized and advanced powers is baffling. lol
The one thing the CCP hasn’t worked on at all is at least cultivating some form of closed allies which China can count on in the event of a conflict or embargo, and allies with whom China is interconnected militarily and economically . This is not a good sign. You can’t live as an island of yourself. Even the US despite its unmatched power still relies on allies globally to cement her rule and influence
1. The American influence on Europe is so deep and undeniable, that the Americans made the Europeans replace the Ukraine Army amour divisions. First round was old Warsaw Pack amour. Second round was the reserves or what was left of the old Warsaw Pack amour because the first wave was totally destroyed, just like the second wave. Third round the rest of Europe started giving some NATO amour, which was destroyed. Fourth round was kind of dipping into the NATO reserves, and the Russians destroyed all that too. There is no amour to give to Ukraine, unless Europe naked without amour.
To say America has influence and allies willing to do its bidding, is saying that is a strength. No mention of all the destroyed amour, and that Ukraine is losing the war.
Why not say the obvious? Which surely seems more important given what is going on.
2. China is different. This is how it is different in how it handles it relations with other countries.
The Americans, typical of the West, wants to develop relations with other countries, that they can exploit, like a good capitalist.
Just look at what happened with the recent skirmish with Cambodia and Thailand.
Near the end of that, at that time no one was sure what was the end of that, the Thais started to deploy their tanks, made in China. So if Cambodia wanted to continue fighting, they would use anti-tank missiles, if they had them, they would be made in China.
That to the Chinese, is deeply embarrassing. Weapons sales for some defence, and not to encourage this kind of stuff. So, it had to end. Everyone wanted to end.
China was not there scheming to exploit the situation.
3. This is the biggest blind spot for the West when it comes to China.
Today China is the go to place for many people.
You need something, go to China. They might have what you need. For most things that is true.
Historically, China was always a go to place, where people went to seeking what they need. The Silk Road was an ancient example of that.
That worked for China in the past. That did not require some elaborate alliance system. The fact is, the world's most comprehensive alliance system got all their amour destroyed, by one country, who happened to have China watching its back.
Russia, clear sees China as a go to place, where they can get components for their war economy.
So when discussing differing methodologies of handling affairs, the results should be noted. Gotta watch the scoreboard.
