The only real support the US can get out of its allies these days is basing rights and a few more bodies to throw onto the front line ahead of US soldiers. It also needs to manage its perception in those allies countries to prevent support from slipping too far as it uses them, otherwise it has a potential insurrection on its hands.
Means you don’t understand how deep US influence and support runs in her allied countries.Sorry to burst your bubble but most US allies will still stand with the US WHEN PUSH COMES TO SHOVE at the end of the day . No question about that, even despite trump’s unpredictability and craziness (much lesd
Plus it’s silly to say US allies will only throw more bodies on the front line. Seriously, are u joking? lol. you know that most of the most industrialized powers on earth are US allies right? So if this industrialized developed and technologically advanced countries can only offer bodies on the frontline , then I suppose every other country on earth is just a primitive village. lol. This level of underestimating other industrialized and advanced powers is baffling. lol

The one thing the CCP hasn’t worked on at all is at least cultivating some form of closed allies which China can count on in the event of a conflict or embargo, and allies with whom China is interconnected militarily and economically . This is not a good sign. You can’t live as an island of yourself. Even the US despite its unmatched power still relies on allies globally to cement her rule and influence

I wouldn't be so sure of these things you say.

1. Push hasn't come to shove so you're only guessing what these countries would do. When given the choice between sticking by the US damn all consequences or emerging on the winning side in WWIII, I don't think a single country anywhere would choose to go down with the ship. If they are convinced that their survival as a prosperous society depended on them switching sides, they will. Either the leaders will or they will be deposed violently in favor of those who will,

2. China has a population of 1.4B with more STEM graduates than the US, EU, Japan, Korea, Australia, Canada combined. So you can imagine it as a larger empire of friends if that makes you feel safer to be amongst allies. The reliance of American power on alliances is a crutch due to lack of innate power; it is not a strength. Fortunately, China has the greatest innate power in the world so we don't have this crutch.

3. There are no real friends or allies. Everything is a matter of interest. Small countries have an interest in hugging the leg of the winning superpower. If it seems now that they can be forced to go against their own interests at the will of the superpower, it is because they calculate that this is still the winning power and this is the price to pay to hug its leg. There is no specific need to cultivate ties; just invest in your own power. If you are weak, no matter how hard you try, you will meet with rejection as you try to cultivate these ties. If you are strong, the ties grow like weeds on your lawn.

The US alliance is a fragile system today. If the US loses the ability to keep its shit together, the alliance will break and it will be every man for himself again. Just like the old days.

Plus it’s silly to say US allies will only throw more bodies on the front line. Seriously, are u joking? lol. you know that most of the most industrialized powers on earth are US allies right? Most industrialised but ossified and hollowed out and lacking the will and capability to walk the talk. They cannot produce enough to take on Russia in ukraine. Although they're building up capacity now, on the basis of volume, coordination, cost effectiveness and just general capability, these "most industrialised" allies are the nation equivalent of a soccer team made up of failsons who don't train.
The current generation are a lost cause, because they grew up soft. It will take a generation or two living under poor conditions to regain any kind of edge.

The one thing the CCP hasn’t worked on at all is at least cultivating some form of closed allies which China can count on in the event of a conflict or embargo, and allies with whom China is interconnected militarily and economically . This I agree with, although mass cultivating of a closed ally system isn't going to happen in the current state of the world. The US is experienced in bloc politics, and countries won't choose one when they can play off both for maximum benefit.

Even the US despite its unmatched power still relies on allies globally to cement her rule and influence
The US is no longer unmatched, hence its panic. Where before it wielded willing allies effortlessly and effectively, it now labours to do the same, because it no longer holds the status it used to.
