The nomination practically means absolutely nothing and Pakistan looses nothing but gains some brownie points vis a vis India in washington calculus, so why not.

I don’t believe in this bull about the US wanting to divvy up the world into spheres of influence. Americans/Westerners want to control it all. Look at how paranoid they are over China in things not military. That’s because whatever they don’t control is a threat to them. Controlling everything is the only way to be sure nothing is a threat to them. Their history of colonialism shows how they want to control how people think. Have a thought they don’t like means they’re not in control therefore is a threat. That’s why it’s ironic that they claim they believe in freedom when they’re so paranoid of the simple things.
