Why? So far Trump hasn't given up anything in his so-called deals. It's been about what everyone else has to give to Trump. Does he think he can do it in China's house. I'm sure the Repanicans will like it. Don't go to China unless China gets something out of it and not less than what Trump expects for himself. He was mistaken to believe the US had all the leverage using tariffs. Republicans in general want US power to be exercised and China exposed their limit. I'm sure they didn't learn their lesson.

Interesting that he is turning on Israel it seems.

It might be a good idea to invite Trump to the victory parade in September. It's well known he loves that kind of military show. And US did play a very significant role in WWII after all, so there is a plausible justification.

Assuming that negotiations before then go smoothly, of course, I don't see much harm in feeding his ego like that.

DJT trump show is just getting started. Less than 6 months in office.
If he is only getting started then it’s not good news for the US, the biggest issue with investing in the US in the areas that Trump + admin claims they want is the matter of stability and long term planning.

If as you claimed this is only the start, where we have already seen a crazy rollercoaster of instability and lack of long term commitment to policies, and this is going to continue. How are you expecting companies to plan anything in the long term, especially production.

For high-tech chip production and related supply chain this can still make sense, but for other products with lower margins this instability is exactly the reason it would be difficult to invest. The CEOs will essentially be making a bet on whether Trump wake up one day and change course or feel like staying the course. And from the first 100 days, you are better off flipping a coin.

Overall the Republicans are smarter than the Democrats.
I honestly see no difference between the 2, both are lead by old money business families, with a bunch of nouveau riche and supported by working class people.

Both are just as hypocritical as the other and just as pretentious as well, one pretends to care, the other pretends to be righteous.

They are just the 2 faces of the same coin. Neither side is smarter than the other, they are just presented differently and which ever side you agree with, they will appear to be smarter.

The only real difference I can see is that the republicans are more usually ground by logic, while the democrats are emotionally driven. However, this is not to say that the republicans are better, being logical doesn’t mean anything if the logic behind their argument is just as flawed as the emotional argument of the democrats.

USA is no longer a AAA nation now.

That the U.S. is only losing AAA ratings after the sheer amount of dumb fuckery in the past 8 years is testament to how solid a foundation the nation had before boomer politicians squandered it all away like they did with their kids’ inheritance.

Wait, I thought only China had to pay the tariffs...
After Chinese sellers just got a free test on which items will still sell at 145% tariff and can now raise prices accordingly after tariff drop, Americans would be lucky if they only have to pay the US tariffs.

It's funny how for a country that places capitalism at the centre of their identity, Americans seem to know a lot more about how feudalism works than how capitalism works.

Trump: I successfully stopped the three mid east countries from coming into China's embrace through this visit.

Nah, these rich Gulf states want to partner with the U.S. They were scared that as the world becomes less dependent on oil, the democrats would abandon the Middle East.

All that oil money, they have to park it somewhere. And to them, the best place is still the U.S.
