From a conservative family-loving male perspective, it is pretty simple. If there is one thing I agree with MAGA, it is their positions on woke feminists, gender identities, bathroom sharing, and the whole LGBTQ 500+ gender bs.
Putting all things aside, if there’s one thing CPC can learn from MAGA, it would be a nation-wide crackdown against woke feminism that is crashing China’s birth rate, as well as other woke identities tearing apart the very fabric of the nation state’s social order and domestic stability. MAGA teaches women to remain loyal to their husbands and nation state. In return, the husband must provide for the family and defend the order (nation) that keeps them safe and prosperous. When translated to Chinese identity, it is very similar to the traditional Confucian order about the roles of family and nation. So yes, MAGA - if done correctly - could indeed be a powerful nation builder in theory because it leaves no space for identities that risk ripping apart the social fabrics that supports powerful a nation state. On that note, the CPC is arguably somewhat “more woke” than MAGA and European right-wing parties because feminism is one of the founding ideological components of the CPC. Yet, the CPC of today is also struggling on how to deal with contemporary woke Chinese gender identities. And that fact that feminism is part of the CPC’s legitimacy prevents the Party from crackdowns hard against China’s men-hating and foreign worshipping woke feminists.
Relating this back to MAGA, it is why you see lots of conservative family-oriented Hispanic, Asian, and Black MEN, as well as conservative white women, supporting MAGA. It is about preserving the masculinity that builds and sustains families and the nation. For conservative women, it is about protection from chaos and unpredictability.
