Ahahahah…funny one.
on a serious note, I think we should tone down this XJP thought thing. It’s just another passing note in history. It will probably last as long as Xi Jinping is in power and then it would be forgotten and put back under forgotten textbooks once a new leader will take over. What matters is Chinas rise and development at large, and this is a collective thing of all Chinese as a nation, it’s far bigger than a one man thing. So yeah let’s not make a big thing out of the XJP thing. lol
Relax. It's just a meme. When he retires, someone else will have their own "thoughts" and we'll meme on that too.

It's a communist tradition that all leaders must be well educated enough to write down their personal economic and political philosophy. Maybe we should do the same with the current crop of leaders in the West.

Is that so we can avoid their philosophies? Like does anyone want to read Justin Trudeau thoughts, or even worse Macron thoughts, or the collected thoughts of the 15 British PMs since Brexit.

If the Unabomber was smart, he wouldn't be frustrated with society to have a manifesto spelling out acting on what bugged him.

Ted Kaczynski a/k/a "The Unabomber" was literally a genius, albeit a deeply troubled genius.

He entered Harvard at 16, followed by a PhD in mathematics at the University of Michigan. Then a tenure track position at Berkeley, prior to moving off-grid in Montana.

Had Uncle Ted stayed, he could've ran into legendary anti-CCP freedom fighter™ Dr.

who was a grad student there in the 1980s!

Instead he lived in a shack out in the middle of nowhere where people saw him as a whacko.

Not a whacko, but too brilliant and too ahead of his time to be understood, or to be comfortable around those of mere above average intelligence. Guy probably should've found a research position at Ft. Meade instead of going off-grid.

While I categorically reject Dr. Kaczynski's methods, his manifesto,

is an incredible read. Not only thought provoking, but extremely salient in this age of social media instant gratification, ubiquitous digital surveillance, ever accelerating AI models, never mind what emergent robotics technologies will "do" to labor markets in the coming decades.

To be fair and honest, Uncle Ted was the antithesis of President Trump.

Our illustrious leader is the living embodiment of shallow superficiality and hollow materialism, whose

by the impeccable tastes of Middle Eastern dictators and Latin American drug lords.

OTOH, Dr. Kaczynski was a profoundly thoughtful man, who lived by the philosophies he espoused, even though it offered little in modern comforts or societal accolades.

It's like street gangs thinking they're equivalent to special forces.

Too bad a certain captain isn't around anymore to explain why this latest TACO is an ultra-strategic 5D manoeuvre from Trump.
He reminded me of a certain other member that always posted about how, "Living paycheck to paycheck and rising household debt are signs that Americans are able to enjoy lives of unimaginable affluence and luxury," in the American Economics Thread. Wonder what happened to that character?
