And look, we’re not going to give up on it in the sense that we’re not going to be ready to help if we can, but there does come a point where the President has to decide how much more time at the highest levels of our government do you dedicate it, when maybe one of the two sides or both aren’t really close enough when we’ve got so many – I would argue even more important – issues going on around the world. Not that a war in Ukraine is not important, but I would say what’s happening with China is more important in the long term for the future of the world. Obviously, Iran’s nuclear ambition, all these other things that we have going on.

Apple says most iPhones sold in US will be from India​

Apple has for years relied on Chinese factories to make its iPhones. But it's shifting some production to India to mitigate potential Trump tariffs.

Apple has moved production of equipment for the US from China to India and Vietnam. Most of the iPhones sold in the US were made in India, and almost all of the iPads, Macs, Apple Watches and Airpods were made in Vietnam for export to the US.

At the same time, China will continue to be the main manufacturer of Apple products sold outside the US.

Apple seems to be done for now.

China is the goal, sowing chaos in Ukraine is just part of the stratergy(?) to keep Russia bogged down.

Imagine what can be done with an extra $50 million in drone supplies instead of Humvees (plus what uk adds to the pot etc)

Even if Apple manage to do that and that is saying something, that put India in Trump sight for increasing tariffs. Trump want smartphones make in the US not in India.

Something I don't get. How come when these products are "made in vietnam" people think Vietnam is just assembling Chinese goods to bypass tariff restrictions. Yet when India does the same thing, they think its somehow all made in India when its just mostly assembly?
