The Republicans are in damage control because they’re all repeating the same talking points to divert that it was Trump that has created this mess for the world meaning it wasn’t planned from the start. They didn’t expect this. Of course they’re all saying China created this mess. Again if they don’t need China, end it all right now to show China. I just read how some promising new US hypersonic anti-ship missiles was just cancelled. I bet some day we’re going to hear how the US military is more dependent on Chinese technology parts than they’re saying. Just like how all these right wing military tech bros that have been getting notoriety lately are going to go belly up because they’ve been using Chinese technology and they’ve been blacklisted aka they’re hypocrites who have been playing the China threat to get contracts but are dependent on Chinese parts.

Agreed to that but also he eventually ends up firing anyone with any degree of competence, because they make him look bad or he is aware they know more than him. As a result of this filtering effect, he ends up with a bunch of incompetent sycophants.

The White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has submitted a budget proposal for NASA in fiscal year 2026:
- Science project funding will be cut in half
- The Roman Space Telescope to be cancelled
- The Mars sample return mission to be cancelled
- The Venus exploration project DAVINCI to be cancelled

Given the 1 trillion USD defense budget, the US might as well merge NASA with the USSF.

I guess those people (both inside and outside this forum) who thinks that China should only have a "minimal credible deterrence" nuclear arsenal are looking at clowns in their own mirror's reflections right now.

They were already at that stage in 2019 when they launched COVID and got 2 million Americans wiped out.

That's exactly what I was saying. Elon needed to use his position to gather power for himself, because in politics if you're not doing that then you won't survive. What he absolutely could not do was to go after whoever Trump wants him to go after. If he did that then he'll simply make enemies while weakening himself, and then when Trump's objectives are achieved he'll just be made the scapegoat, and his business empire will be divided up between Trump and his cronies. If China's smart then they should be working Elon right now, prepare for the day Trump comes after him, and find some ways to make use of him for their own purposes.
