Trump 2.0 official thread

Trump has been training China very well since 2016. China has been busy trying it's best to avoid tariffs, avoid sanctions, finding new markets, breaking western technology choke-holds, going head 2 head with american military and doing it's best to decouple from America for almost a decade now. And they have been preparing for Trump 2.0 like it's a wartime scenario since he became the republican presidential candidate and was favored to win.

Meanwhile SK, Japan, Australia, Latin America, Europe and SEA, most of America's allies, have been caught completely off guard by Trump's global trade war and breakdown in relations and are scrambling like headless chickens. Everybody will lose if global trade breaks down, but it's clear that China will lose the least. They have the least dependency on American technology, be software or hardware. They have the only navy and military in the world that can stand up to America. They can continue to expand into the global south's market and step in into voids left by America. They are the only nation that can fill in the shoes left by certain exclusive technologies that America provides.

Comrade nation builder indeed.

Chaos is a ladder.

Countdown towards the global trade war, which I think is guaranteed to happen. Now that Trump sees tariff as “cementing his legacy” with some of his allies talking about making Tariff Day a Federal Holiday.

Making it a federal holiday would be an amazing way of annually reminding everyone exactly who is responsible for their economic pain.

They say automakers only make a few hundred dollars off of each of their cars sold. If Trump's tariffs which will include US cars that cross the borders of Canada and Mexico are going to add thousands of dollars to the price of a car and he's demanding the auto makers eat the costs, US auto companies won't be making any money. Trump knows how voters are going to feel and that's why the rich he protected now have to make the sacrifice for him. Trump can't admit he was wrong in anything. That's why he keeps changing the plan.
That is why I keep saying that this oranged hair idiot is on borrowed time. He is pissing off so many people that one day someone will flip and actually do what the last assassin failed to do. Not that I am advocating for such a thing but knowing how on edge the USA is, someone armed and dangerous is eventually going to snap and rather then going after school students like usual, actually try to make history to do the absolutely unthinkable

It would be ironic if MAGA starts imposing price controls because of their tariffs.

President Donald Trump warned top automakers not to raise their prices in response to his 25 percent tariffs on imports that were announced this week, according to reports.

Trump Tells NBC He ‘Couldn’t Care Less’ About Auto Prices

President Donald Trump said he “couldn’t care less” if automakers raise car prices in response to the planned tariffs on imported vehicles.

Trump was asked in an interview with NBC News on Saturday whether he warned foreign automaker chief executives not to raise consumer prices in response to the 25% tariffs he plans to impose on their products next week.

“No, I never said that,” Trump said. “I couldn’t care less if they raise prices because people are going to start buying American cars.”

“I hope they raise their prices, because if they do, people are going to buy American-made cars,” he said, repeating the phrase “I couldn’t care less” two more times in his lengthy answer.

Tariffs will hit a $240 billion trade route, with imported cars and light trucks accounting for about half of the roughly 16 million vehicles sold in the US last year.

By May 3, tariffs will expand to key parts such as engines, transmissions and electrical systems, with the potential to broaden out further. Parts that comply with rules in the free-trade agreement between the US, Canada and Mexico will be initially spared from the tariffs.

Auto prices are broadly expected to increase by thousands of dollars, with JPMorgan Chase & Co. analysts estimating prices will jump 11% on average.

Trump also said he doesn’t plan to fire anyone over the security leak of planned military strikes in Yemen on the Signal chat app, the report said.

Trump won’t rule out seeking a third term in the White House, tells NBC News ‘there are methods’ for doing so

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump did not rule out the possibility of seeking a third term in the White House, which is prohibited by the Constitution under the 22nd Amendment, saying in an exclusive interview with NBC News that there were methods for doing so and clarifying that he was “not joking.”

“A lot of people want me to do it,” Trump said in a Sunday-morning phone call with NBC News, referring to his allies. “But, I mean, I basically tell them we have a long way to go, you know, it’s very early in the administration.”

“I’m focused on the current,” Trump added, in some of his most extensive comments to date about serving a third term.

When asked whether he wanted another term, the president responded, “I like working.”

“I’m not joking,” Trump said, when asked to clarify. “But I’m not — it is far too early to think about it.”

When asked whether he has been presented with plans to allow him to seek a third term, Trump said, “There are methods which you could do it.”

NBC News asked about a possible scenario in which Vice President JD Vance would run for office and then pass the role to Trump. Trump responded that “that’s one” method.

“But there are others, too,” Trump added.

Asked to share another method, Trump simply responded “no.”

Amending the Constitution to abolish the two-term limit would be exceedingly difficult, requiring either a two-thirds vote of Congress or two-thirds of the states agreeing to call a constitutional convention to propose changes. Either route would then require ratification from three-quarters of the states.

The president pointed to his poll numbers, saying that “a lot of people would like me to” hold office for a third term.

Trump has previously commented on running for a third term in office, though Republicans have seen these comments as jokes or the president trolling his critics.

Rep. Andy Ogles, R-Tenn., crafted a resolution calling for the extension of presidential term limits, which would allow Trump to seek another term in office.

Meanwhile, Trump ally Steve Bannon said in an interview on News Nation that he believes Trump will “run and win again in 2028.” Bannon said in the same interview that he thought “we’ll have a couple of alternatives” in determining how Trump could seek a third term despite the two-term maximum for holding the presidency.

The White House has amplified Trump’s comments likening himself to royalty, posting a picture of a fake magazine cover depicting the president with a crown after the administration shot down congestion pricing in New York City.

The White House’s post to X quoted Trump’s previous comments on Truth Social: “LONG LIVE THE KING!”

Coming to theaters.
