So it sounds as if we are much closer to a resolution than some would have you believe? I would comment that it sounds as if the Chinese ambassador really does have some insight into our concerns, and I would agree that the US and China continue to have shared interests in a peaceful resolution....
Nah, that's him saying we're dealing with lunatics and schizophrenics and that's why there's no progress. In other words, China has no fault in this. This isn't a trade war; nothing's going to be over. It's a permanent re-balancing away from an America that wants to weaponize the economy. American media constantly talks about a "win" because that's the feeling they're most deprived of when dealing with China and also because they think it's a competition/game to get the other side to capitulate, and then it'll be over. It is not; China doesn't want it to be business as usual and will never intertwine its economy with America's again because there is no more trust. But that's really ok; these 2 countries are destined to be rivals can't be more than frenemies anyway.

Very nasty stuff, US Bloomberg made up a story about China embedded a spy chip in supermicro server!

The story says China military embedded a pencil tip sized spy chip in supermicro motherboard

Wow, pencil tip sized?? Give me a break!

No chip is possible with pencil tip sized!

Not even the top chip maker in the world.
A spy chip capable of communication is pencil tip sized is fantasy in this world!

Bloomberg shamelessly made a physically impossible object so people can't prove it or look for it. Size of a dusk particle!

US media starts to make up story now to support Trump trade war agenda, that's to drive out supply chain from China

With this made up story , US supermicro dropped 35%

In additionally, Bloomberg made up another thing Amazon rid of its server business in China because it's compromised. Amazon came out denied it.

Wow, with no technical people on its group , Bloomberg dares to make up a story about a communication chip sized of pencil tip or close to dusk particle!

Ridiculous US media blatantly made up such story

"Mobile computing is going to tinier and tinier scales, but you haven’t seen a chip this small. Freescale has made the world’s smallest ARM-based chip, the Kinetis KL02, measuring a mind-bogglingly tiny 1.9mm by 2.2mm.

It is a full microcontroller unit and that basically means it has a processor with RAM, ROM clock and I/O control units, making it a full-fledged computer."
Actually grain sized microchips had existed for some years now, and with all the necessary processing power to actually function as a miniature computer.

I was explicitly refuting the poster's claim that microsized microchips with significant processing was impossible. So the point still stands.

Was not denying that at all. Just had the thought you might not have known the news as you did not mention it in your post.

That doesn't include communication unit. When you include CMOS analog wireless and antenna , no way can that small. The US article says it's a spy chip that would include communication unit.

Also 1.9 MMX 2.2mm is not pencil tip sized.
