I really hope so.

China seriously needs to strike back ASAP, before American assets in China - the fifth columnists, traitors and defeatists, can cause more damage.

If China supplies Iran, and weights additional support behind Russia and NK, this would be a good way to bring the fight to them.
That's right, alot of ballless traitors in China , only care about their financial well-being, that's why alot of criticism against Xi currently in China. The most blatant anti Xi fractions in YouTube are oversea NDTChinese falungung fiannced by US based in New York. Or RFA from Washington DC, broadcast out of Hong Kong, Mccau, also the Epoch times. All of them are financed by US government. They are very anti Xi, spread rumors every where, saying China ready to collapse, Xi would be outsted

Xi is hardcore, influenced alot by Maoism.

Trump obviously played Xi like a Fool on the NK issue. Trump so called "Personal Friendship" duped Xi and made Xi went along on the NK issue and sanctioned NK hard and made NK kind of capitulated. Trump told Xi if China willing to help out on NK issue, he might look over China's trade issue. Xi bited on that. It's quite gullible, really

As soon as NK went soft and willing to meet Trump, Trump did a 180 turn and ditched China aside. And Trump launched a trade war against China.

Xi got played like a rookie, and got duped.

But he recognized this and quickly rectified his mistake.

His successive meeting with Kim and now all the trade with NK resurrected and more. Now anything goes between NK and China border. Xi would not care if NK if stay nuke armed.

Qualcomm and NXP deal was approved by China regulator initially but Xi turned it down personally.

This is getting personal between Xi and Trump.

Trump still calling Xi as friend and great admiration for him. Xi now totally disgusted by it.

It's like Trump saying something nice and then followed by something vicious and stabbing someone at the back.

Xi will have no part of that trickery.

This is getting very personal between Xi and Trump

Xi determines to personally revenge and strip Trump naked.

People thought Xi would thank Trump on ZTE issue but Xi think Trump is a highway robber on this case. ZTE already laid $900 million last year and now had to paid another $1billion plus $400 million in escrow. Xi initially only willing to negotiate additional fine of $500 miilion. That's way too greedy on Trump part.

On trade war, Trump orders China to purge US Semiconductor tech in China in few yrs time.

Xi will support Iran greatly to lessen Trump sanction on Iran and also supply anti stealth radar and J31 to Iran to help it defend against US.

Xi is a very revengeful guy if he thought someone wronged him. Look at how he purged all his competitors inside China, Bo xilai, zhou yungkan, etc

Trump's escalating tariffs in bigger numbers made Xi even more determined and irate. He personally said that he will teach Trump a painful lesson for being a Bully.

It's getting very personal now between Xi and Trump.

Your post is far more insulting to President Xi than it is to President Trump, it really is. President Trump has been very upfront about his issues with China, President Xi knows exactly what cards were on the table!

President Trump and President Xi likely have a very honest relationship,, and I'm sure President Trump respects president Xi, because he understands who he's dealing with....

That's actually a good side-effect of this trade war: it's brought all the cockroaches out into the light. This will make it easier to step on them.

WALL STREET WARNS: Trump's trade policies could bring the US back to an economic horror from the 1970s

  • President Donald Trump is aggressively pursuing protectionist economic policies.
  • Tariffs, however, cause prices to rise and can stall growth.
  • Analysts are warning that 1970s-like stagflation could be ahead.
In a broad effort to rearrange global trade relationships, President Donald Trump has slapped tariffs on some of the US's biggest business partners. And as effects of protectionism kick in, analysts caution against heading toward a repeat

, when rising inflation, high unemployment levels, and stalling growth plagued the economy.

Washington and Beijing have followed through with

, and Trump has threatened to impose additional duties on as many as all Chinese goods sent to the US. Trump has also started trade fights with Canada, the European Union, and Mexico.

In a recent note, Macquarie analysts wrote that protectionism "could start influencing inflationary expectations, including a potential for stagflation, as wholesale prices rise."

Tariffs so far have put upward pressure on input costs, which can work their way through the supply chain and lead firms to pass costs on to customers. In July, prices charged for goods and services rose at a record pace on the Markit purchasing managers' index.

Analysts also caution that fiscal stimulus is poised to slow down around the world relative to the US, which could magnify this effect. Trump signed into law a sweeping

in March.

"That obviously could continue to pressure US inflation higher compared with elsewhere, not least if we add into the equation aforementioned issues concerning protectionism, oil prices and latecycle wage pressures," analysts at Nomura said in a recent note.

Stagflation, however, is also characterized by high unemployment, and that is far from the case in the US. In fact, the unemployment rate has fallen to

this year.

But in the face of a global trade war, that could quickly change. As tariffs raise costs, it can begin to weigh on company profit margins. For example,

that one Indiana lawn-care company, Brinly-Hardy, recently cut nearly 40% of its workforce because of the trade war.

@tidalwave can you please stop creating new threads for posts you should be making in the existing Trade War thread. Thanks.

I've made no such proclaimation, I do have a good handle on Mr. Trump, and unlike most politicians, he's made a valiant effort to keep his promise to the electorate, Donald Trump is a media Icon,,, he's always been direct and to the point!

President Xi isn't some mysterious unknown figure either, he has a record now, and contrary to your opinion, he's nobody's fool!
