My grandson, poopeye, is stationed aboard Nimitz. He's here in Cedar Rapids on Christmas leave. He told me that Nimitz is getting some "upgrades" and so far the work is proceeding on time. They are scheduled to go back to sea in May.
The photos below show Nimitz sporting a new paint job. And yes a lot more work was done in the last nine months other than the new paint.
