Active duty and reserve component Seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalions 40, 18 and 26, and members of the U.S. Army 1st Battalion, 66th Armored Regiment are working to fortify and secure a remote combat outpost on the eastern edge of Khavejeh Molk, Afganistan. The village is located approximately 25 miles north of Kandahar and is being used as a patrol base for the U.S. Army 1st Battalion, 66th Armored Regiment. DIWAR, Afghanistan (Dec. 18, 2010) Active duty and reserve component Seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalions 40 and 18 secure and fortify a combat outpost in Diwar, Afghanistan. The Seabees continued working despite a suicide car bombing that killed six Soldiers at the site seven days before. YOKOSUKA, Japan (Dec. 22, 2010) Sailors aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) restock supplies after receiving more than 80 pallets of food. Since pulling out of port on May 18, 2010, George Washington has traveled 51,700 nautical miles and safely launched and recovered 8,351 aircraft. George Washington is the Navy's only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier ensuring security and stability across the western Pacific Ocean.
