No a hit against you personally @by78 because I see people do this so often. Sportswear and Sports wear. Sportswear is fashion. It’s casual wear. A term usually associated with smart casual. Polo shirts, chinos and khakis, slacks, sports coats (even in the name), turtleneck shirts, loafers and derby shoes, camping shirts, skirts, a blouse, a pea coat, suit separates. These are Sportswear.
Sports wear is really Active wear. Sweats, running shoes, running shorts, hoodies, track suits, running bra, swim suit, hockey pads. These are active wear.
Even the people whom make this stuff conflate them. I blame Tennis and Gulf as they are the two “Sports” where after a round you still look conservative enough to hit the street or go to a fine establishment. Especially gulf as even the classic shoes look like dress shoes.
