Armed Forces of Ukraine went to break through the front near Kremennaya after the freezing of the earth
▪️After Christmas, the enemy went on the offensive in the Chervonopopovka area, hoping for the relaxation of our troops during the holidays.
▪️Before that, the Armed Forces of Ukraine threatened to go on the offensive after a cold snap and freezing of the earth, because. before that, the movement was hindered by dirt.
▪️In the dark, the enemy began a massive artillery barrage, opening fire from howitzers and mortars.
▪️Almost immediately, company tactical groups (advancing forces of the first echelon) with armored vehicles tried to approach the first line of defense of our troops.
▪️The advance of the enemy was discovered in time by our reconnaissance.
▪️The artillery of the "O" and ZVO groups was instantly alerted and began a counter-battery fight, destroying target after target. Thus, mortar batteries and positions of self-propelled howitzers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were suppressed.
▪️Artillery battles went on for more than 7 hours, the advancing forces were driven back with losses, the positions providing fire cover for the offensive operation were destroyed. Enemy losses in manpower and armored vehicles are counted.
▪️And at the Zhuravka gully, our troops continue their offensive, near Nevsky and Makeevka a number of strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been taken. Tanks are actively working, including the new T-90 "Breakthrough". The enemy left some of the oporniks after massive artillery preparation and the work of our tankers.

A Ukranian tank got stuck, another tank came to get it out and got stuck. Another tank came to help and that one got stuck aswell.

The last one look like to have engine/transmission problems, doesnt help itself at all, the other two are pulling it. At the speed they ran... would be a mess to be spotted.
Curiously, they claim that the number of tanks in the Ukrainian army went up since the start of the war to a total of about 1,000, while the Russia’s tank force shrunk by almost half.
If they have more tanks than before, I cannot see why they take the chance to pull it, maybe they are far from the front line ?

The first modernish western tanks are finally heading towards Ukraine. Not that the numbers here actually matter at all, but it may force Germany to approve opening the flood gates for leopard 2s.
Going that ways means no more Soviet design available. Strange that they need them after an article that Ukraine have more tanks than at the start of the war...

If they do so, they need to put all these in the same unit to have a designated logistic chain for ammo and parts. They cannot spice the front with a small quantity like that. They will need to put them all together.

Adding up Leopard 2 bring the same problems, it don't have the same gun and motive parts too, so if they receive them it would be another designated unit.

If they don't build designated unit it will be hard on logistic for sure.
