China is actually intriguing in this context. The Chinese and their drone production could indeed tilt battlefield balance. So far from all I read and noticed, China was trying to support the Russian economy and production (including weapons), but has been wary of crossing the treshold of open support due to the fear of American and secondary sanctions.

I wonder if there is a situation which would make China reconsider its stance and become more active, be it in direct production support or even component or weapon sales.

The Qing loss of Outer Manchuria was several times larger in land area than all of the ethnic Han inhabited Western colonies and concession territories combined. And the loss of fur trapping and ginseng harvesting in Outer Manchuria cost the Manchu nobility massive economic losses. And the Manchus gave all of Outer Manchuria up with a lot less of a fight than Hong Kong alone. So, no, the Qing did not simply ignore the Western invasions. they fought as much as the EU is doing now, and for the same reason: if the EU cannot protect their frontier assets, it will cause their influence over the member states to unwind from within.

An episode with a Ukrainian M777 howitzer abandoned in the Kursk region of Russia. The howitzer will be used by the Akhmat units, it is operational and almost like new. 155-mm howitzers have been produced in the United States since 2005, its firing range of the M982 Excalibur active-reactive projectile is up to 40 kilometers. The Ukrainian army received about 197 M777 howitzers from the United States. Now about 100 M777 howitzers have been destroyed, mainly by Lancet drones, some fell into the hands of the Russian army.

If they plan to use it, they got some ammo in the loot somewhere and knowledge to use it with some precision. I think Ukraine got mostly the basic M777 but still got some with the ballistic computer I think from Canada. The one on the video don't look to have the box containing it and rely on the basic optical system. It's a big square box on the top left of the gun.

Should add that it's the third M777 recovered in Sudja.

I keep hearing this but then the Manchus signed away Outer Manchuria at the Treaty of Aigun without a fight, and that was the Manchu homeland.

They even fought much harder for non-Chinese Vietnam in the Sino-French war with 10k+ casualties on both sides, than their own homeland.

I think they tried but failed, not deliberately failed.

The video was filmed in the Kharkov region of Ukraine, near the village of Dolzhanka, which is about 12 kilometers from the border.
