Ukraine is where for the FIRST TIME in 50 years Western weapon systems are being put to test in a real war against a peer adversary and the performance is a strong D+The second one, a hypersonic Kinzhal?
One thing this war has shown is that American missile deterrent is a bluff. That's why no western missile defences will make an appearance in Ukraine, even though they desperately need something.
If they can't stop regular kalibres, what chance do they have against mach 20+ ICBMs?
Add to that American malfunctioning ICBMs and it must be VERY tempting for Putin to start launching nukes.

The US is still saying is going to send two NASAMS two Ukraine. It isn't much but there is a pattern starting to emerge of more Link-16 systems being deployed which basically allows NATO to fight this war while using Ukrainians as human shields.
