The War in the Ukraine

Full on Russian offensive in the Kharkhiv and Sumy regions with one settlement falling one after another. Russians are exploiting the forest terrain as cover to move in troops, while new forest and settlement positions allow their own artillery and drone forces to strike deeper into Ukrainian logistics.

Ukrainian sea drone Magura gets taken out by a Kornet ATGM. Kornet ATGMs have been used on anything from fortifications to even drone crew positions but armored vehicles lately.

This Russian unit is new and it appears mainly for drone use --- the 50th Seperate Brigade "Varyag" of the BPS VGK or for unmanned systems. Kind of like the Rubicon or the 14th and 16th Spetznaz Brigade. It just started on February 11, 2026. Add this to the list of Russian elite drone units, and it's notable for being a brigade size at that.

The Russians have appeared to have restored long range over the horizon data links for long range drone strikes. The 50th Seperate Brigade Varyag takes out three Ukrainian search radars in a row, two in the Nikolaev region, one in the Kharkhiv region. Should be noted that these P-18 VHF radars can pick out stealthy objects, making them a primary target.

Not going to make the EU happy, the 50th Varyag struck an IRIS-T air defense system which was donated by the EU to the AFU.

New drone specialist unit Hokhla Battalion of the Chechen Akmat special forces strikes down site of a Ukrainian drone unit. The AFU drone unit was revealed by antennas and EW units. There's further confirmation of the presence via EW interference as the FPV drones come closer.

The first strike was using an Italmas loitering munition, followed by winged and copter type FPV drones. They really want to make sure the site is completely dead. The event occurred at the Kharkhiv region, which has greatly intensified activity in recent days. Typically Akhmat forces under serve with Group Several since the Kursk campaign.

Footage of strikes by Russian Geran-2 kamikaze drones on Ukrainian military boats in the waters of the port of Odesa. The drones were directly controlled by operators. As a result of the Geran-2 drone attack, a Ukrainian Project 58155 Gyurza-M armored artillery boat and an Island-class patrol boat were destroyed. Island-class boats were previously used by the US Coast Guard; they were decommissioned in 2017 and transferred to Ukraine.

A Ukrainian drone operator's site was located after the operators were spotted picking up their drone. Two BM-70 Italmas loitering drones were sent to deal with the site. A secondary explosion after the site was struck indicates munitions were stored there. The attack was conducted by a drone unit of Group Seversk.

A Ukrainian FP-1 drone crashed into a Latvian oil depot. Residents of the Latvian city of Rēzekne published footage of a Ukrainian FP-1 drone flying overhead. Information about FP-1 drones is available on the channel; they are currently being actively used by Ukraine. Previous media reports indicated that Ukrainian drones were using Latvian airspace to launch strikes on Russia's Leningrad Oblast. This is done to evade Russian air defense systems. For an unknown reason, most likely a GPS malfunction, one of the Ukrainian drones crashed into an East-West Transit oil depot. It is possible that the drone was shot down by Latvian air defenses. It is worth noting that such incidents could draw Latvia into a war between Russia and Ukraine.

Footage of a massive strike by the Russian TOS-1A heavy flamethrower system in the Zaporizhzhia region. The strike targeted Ukrainian army strongholds and underground utility lines in a village; the exact location is not disclosed. The TOS-1A is particularly effective against such targets.

Another Chechen UAV unit from the Akhmat Special Forces, the Vakha Battalion, hits a spotted Ukrainian troop gathering point and takes out a Krab SPG with FPV drones. The unit operates in the northern section.

Footage of the new Russian heavy-duty FPV drone "Provod" striking an abandoned Ukrainian Roshel Senator APC armored vehicle. The Roshel armored vehicle is equipped with numerous electronic warfare systems, but they are not resistant to strikes by fiber-optic-guided drones. Roshel Senator armored vehicles have been manufactured in Canada since 2018.
