Full on Russian offensive in the Kharkhiv and Sumy regions with one settlement falling one after another. Russians are exploiting the forest terrain as cover to move in troops, while new forest and settlement positions allow their own artillery and drone forces to strike deeper into Ukrainian logistics.
Ukrainian sea drone Magura gets taken out by a Kornet ATGM. Kornet ATGMs have been used on anything from fortifications to even drone crew positions but armored vehicles lately.
This Russian unit is new and it appears mainly for drone use --- the 50th Seperate Brigade "Varyag" of the BPS VGK or for unmanned systems. Kind of like the Rubicon or the 14th and 16th Spetznaz Brigade. It just started on February 11, 2026. Add this to the list of Russian elite drone units, and it's notable for being a brigade size at that.
Ukrainian sea drone gets taken out by a Lancet near Crimea by the 50th.
The Russians have appeared to have restored long range over the horizon data links for long range drone strikes. The 50th Seperate Brigade Varyag takes out three Ukrainian search radars in a row, two in the Nikolaev region, one in the Kharkhiv region. Should be noted that these P-18 VHF radars can pick out stealthy objects, making them a primary target.
Not going to make the EU happy, the 50th Varyag struck an IRIS-T air defense system which was donated by the EU to the AFU.
