Plenty of videos of individual Russian troops being taken out by Ukrainian drones if you care to look.In the last episode of The Russia Contingency, M.Koffman talked about his trip to the front lines in Ukraine. He observed that the advantage in artillery has shifted to Russia‘s side, as has the advantage in FPV drones, which the Russians have in plentiful enough supply to deploy against individual soldiers. This is indicative of Russia succeeding to ramp up drone production beyond what Ukraine is getting supplied with. Furthermore, he observed that the soldiers in the Ukrainian army are visibly older now, which introduces limitations to how effectively Ukraine can conduct offensives, although it’s less off an issue for defending a position.

M113 is an old workhorse that is probably easy to repair and maintain and have quite a small footprint for his troop capacity. The amount of M113 that have been build keep spare parts and new chassis quite easy to find. More than 80 000 have been build... sure that they can find a lot to send there.Yes, I can corroborate seeing the same thing. Both sides have enough FPV drones to target individuals. In fact, FPV bombardment of trenches occurs just as often as artillery bombardment as part of assault preparations on both sides.
It was a very good episode. They touched on lots of things. Force structure, equipment needs, technological innovation and its influence on the battle.
Also, the #1 requested vehicle by UAF is apparently the M113. It's a vehicle that can reliably move troops to the frontline and back. I wonder how the MT-LB compares.
Sounds like Europe and USA can massively help Ukraine by shipping thousands of M113s (that are in storage anyways).
