Admiral's Veranda (this is not an official name! feel free to tell me what it would be):

(as for the scale here, the windows were almost two meters high, and that anchor: about five meters, weighing 1500 kilos by the way)

attached to the mess for about 80 officers/guests, and connected to private quarters of Commander(s), which didn't always mean Admiral(s), as at the Szent István:

but on the Viribus Unitis, the quarters were even fancier, to accommodate Archduke Franz Ferdinand with Sophie Chotek:

Beautiful Ship, I have to admit that I love this thing, I was proud of Mollie and Mitch for visiting the Iowa, most kids don't have a clue??

What was accomplished with all of the old dreadnought battleships is simply amazing and this model is simply awesome. I had never seen it before.

If you ever get thte chance to travel abroad...got to Houston, TX and visit the USS Texas. That's one you can board and walk around and look at...and see the 14" guns and turrets, etc., etc. I was blessed to be able to do that last year and (despite my disabilities and difficulties moving around the ship), it was well worth it.

Such a beautiful ship, a testament to solid engineering and the "art of the float!" Those girls were floating art, just beautiful, beautiful boats...Elegant, like the 3 mast sailing ships of the past.

Those boats had a "soul", a real persona! No wonder the ancient mariners always had a figure head on the prow.

LOL I'm guessing they ('most kids') would consider a Battleship to be a trash, and they would be more or less right (saying this, I think I'm relatively well-informed on the topic of Battleships, actually I even thought I was good in it, until I joined
