Jeff 6 are operational

3320-3323

And 3330-3332

Plus 5 at JNCX

Btw there could be 6 at JNCX because the one on land at the top right hand side has dry dock area where we saw two units in April 2017
Thank you my friend...perhaps we will see more being built. To have only six after so many years just punctuates the fact that they had soe serious problems that took them a long time to overcome.

If they have truly overcome them, then I would expect to see a lot more built and soon.

They have five LPDs in the water now and the 6th building. They need 24 just to provide full capabilities to those six, and then they would need another squadron for testing and another one or two for training. Of course they will have ships going into maintenance periods too so that lessens the overall need, but for those six ships, the maintenance, training, testing and contingencies, I still believe they need from 24-30 of their LCACs...and they have six

Ype, they need to build quite a few more rather quickly of they want the crews of all of these new ships to be ready to operate.

Brilliant now we have 4 more to add to

3320-3322 and 3330-3332

And now 3336-3339

Thess 4 must be from the JNCX shipyard that were spotted few months back

But all this means nothing until we see a fully loaded LCAC entering and leaving Type 071 LPD well deck

Not really more and more I see the function of LCAC is to carry the MBT type 96 or 99. We seen in the last video that the Type 71 is full crammed with ZBD 05 and ZTD 05 as the first wave of assault team
They are fast enough to carry over the horizon attack

And these newly commissioned LCAC has been tested for a while now So they are the first batch with domestic GT So more are coming as we saw it on the shipyard

I believe that make 11 total then:

320, 321, 322, 323

326, 327, 328, 329

3330,333, 3332

Getting close to enough to fully outfit three of the Type 071s anytime...or more likely, to outfit five of them with two LCAC and other amphibious assets at any time.

I'd love to see an o[p...ANY OP...using six to eight of the LCACs with 2-3 Type 071 LPDs and several Type 072 LSTs.

I’m pretty sure What he meant was MBT entering and leaving well deck

This is a very old photo we have seen many times
He doesn't said that But regardless if Yuyi float then they should be able to get in and out of type 71 with no problem unless the driver is blind or grossly incompetent. Here is Henri K write up on type 726A commissionhttp://

The Chinese navy continues to make talk about it at the beginning of this year, which looks set to be busy. Indeed, even before having admitted to the active service

, she had in fact already put in service four class 726A type air-cushion landing craft. , a Chinese equivalent of the LCA ( Landing Craft Air Cushioned ) of the US Navy, Wednesday, January 10 in a naval base of the Eastern Fleet.

These 150-ton hovercrafts go hand-in-hand with the Type 071 Landing Barge , moving more than 20,000 full load tonnes, which were designed after the multiple crises in the Taiwan Strait at the end of the last century.

Each Type 071 LPD can carry at least two Type 726A in its submerged slab, which can then reach a landing site over a distance of 320 km, at a speed beyond 60 knots, to project up to to 50 tons of men, equipment and equipment, which is more than enough to cross the Taiwan Strait with a medium tank ZTZ-96A for example.

This admittance to the "massive" active service of rapid amphibious means of projection in the Eastern fleet, which is responsible for the direction of Taiwan among others, is not a surprise in reality.

On the one hand, as already mentioned last year in our file "

", the shipbuilding industry in China no longer have any technical obstacles today in front of them once the motorization problem is solved, to produce as many of these fast boats as the Chinese Navy deems necessary. And strange as it may seem, the first Type 726 with Ukrainian turbine and the following Type 726A with Chinese turbine are all designed not by historical naval consultants, but by the Chinese aviation group AVIC.

Secondly, although the Type 071 "mothership" was designed at the time specifically for the theater around the island of Taiwan, as was the Type 22 stealth-fired missile launch boat, which gradually retreated "prematurely" in the past. However, the Chinese navy has decided to continue production of this class of LPD to strengthen its amphibious capabilities, pending the arrival of Type 075 , a new class of helicopter carrier with apron of about 35 000 tonnes.

Today, there are three Type 071s that are operational within the Southern Fleet and dedicated to situations in the South China Sea, plus another building in the Eastern Fleet that will also recover two more units currently in arrangement at Shanghai.

The Chinese navy will therefore need, mathematically, at least 6 × 2 = 12 hovercraft Type 726 / Type 726A for the composition to be complete.

A Type 726A has just left the raft of a Chinese LPD Type 071

With these four new units put into service at the beginning of the year, which are registered 3236, 3237, 3238 and 3239 respectively, plus the buildings from 3320 to 3323 and 3330 to 3332, we can expect other types 726A out of Jiangnan Changxing shipyard in Shanghai to equip all Type 071 in service and those to come.
