Remember how India claimed China was hiding its true number of casualties in Ladakh and how they disrespected the fallen soldiers by not acknowledging their death? or how they claimed some Chinese blogger spouting about PLA had higher casualties as proof but local government report and local civilians testimony about several Indian planes crashed aren't proof to them?
They really are master of projection.

From a geopolitical standpoint they have to convince Western governments that they’ve won a great victory. Otherwise they will not be seen as a capable ally against China, but a baggage.
But they are no capable and certainly no allies, pawns would be more fitting.

The number of Pakistani F-16s India claims to have shot down seems to be growing. They need to make it look like India can down the West's best also, Remember back during their last conflict they claimed Pakistan used their F-16s to get the US to punish Pakistan for violating agreements on how they're used. Also during that last conflict India claimed also to hit their targets when pictures showed it looked like Indian fighters just dropped their bombs anywhere maybe because it got too hot and they wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.
I think this idea that India makes such nonsensical claims to 'prove' its worth or for masterstroke geopolitical reasons holds no weight, since foreign nations are not incompetent enough to just believe such claims especially when evidence clearly contradicts it.
This is more to do with domestic signalling, for the ruling party it maintains its image and sells a success story, and for the general populace they are drowning themselves in their own self-destructive populism and need a way to cope.

Yes, it was CIA recruitment video (as pointed out by member), but one who is not familiar with Chinese language I thought that it was part of the video that I clicked, when it ended with CIA (by the way its CREEPY), I was astonished of how could they be so overt, but apparently they think it wise to go to this route.
Look there are bunch of Chinese folks who go to US universities, but Sinophobia in USA has turned a whole generation of young Chinese folks non receptive to their messages, so they have reverted to these stupid recruitment techniques, which shows their desperation.

I listened to Chen Hu's analysis, he said it's not easy for the AWACS aircraft to guide a missile because most AWACS aircrafts don't have a fire control radar. So, the best scenario is A detect, B shoot and guide (Same as what you have claimed above).
