If you look at the video I posted, it shows a two seater with two separate canopies, likely belonging to a Mirage 2000. I said earlier it might also be a Rafale, but it looks like the two seater Rafale has one giant canopy that opens sideways. The Sukhoi has one giant canopy,

Ugh, crash sites aren't secured to cover things up. It does nothing to cover them up in the first place.
It's a basic crash procedure(retrieving black boxes, cause investigation), plus a security measure (volatiles, explosives).
