They are acting like the kid who tried stalling showing his report card but must now face the music…
I symathize with them. I once did that with my parents back in school. they told me once I finish my exams we will go on a one month vacation. I finished my exams and when they asked me for the card I said "the results are not out yet". after a month has passed of me telling them "the results are not out yet" they gave up asking me and already realized I fked up. after that I revealed to them I failed almost every subject and they were like "duh obviously we knew something went wrong since you refused to show us the report card".

so this is the correct strategy from Modi. after a while would pass people would lose interest in it and only then would it be appropriate for him to tell the trueth when people stop caring about it.

Nah, Modi probably made a deal with Dassault to buy replacements at triple the previous unit price and painted exactly like the lost planes, with matching serials and will show all the Indian Rafales just as soon as the replacements arrive.
Then they'd need to stall another 2 years cus that's how fast the Euros manufacture things. If it's hotter than 80 degrees, colder than 40 degrees, raining, snowing or if the wind is blowing enough to move a piece of toilet paper, they don't work over there.

so this is an interesting time.

China is about to build its Dam in Tibet and that means it will put a lot of air defense around it as in the case of Three Gorges, especially after Indian commentators are making threats on air.

Which means they can put BMD and probably DF-17s in Tibet and the new power grid around there will lead to investment for even better infrastructure into that area.

And they can presumably talk to Pakistan and Bangladesh about installing BMD radar and battalions also.

Makes for an interesting Indian containment strategy.
After the news has broken out a bunch of RSS politicians have since said something like 'they will blow it up if they try!' and 'we wont let it be finished(construction)'

I would love to see Indians getting slapped silly by Chinese rocket force missiles destroying their bases and PLAAF planes doing target practice out of Indian planes.
