How many Indian aircraft actually participated in the attack?
There's no way only 3 of those who got shot down right?
I would caution making the jump to the conclusion of XYZ being shot down, at least not without hard evidence like photos of the wreckage with a unique identifier.

At this point, given the fog of war, even government statements should be taken in with a healthy dose of salt given how both Pakistani and Indian officials have been known to make false or misleading statements.

I'm a little late to the party. What are the aircraft losses confirmed on both sides so far? Saw news of a JF-17 downed. I that true?

Indians themselves admitted that three fighter aircraft have “crashed”. Not the Bhakts though. They are arguing that the MICA missile fell off because the hard point was secured with shit quality screws. You can’t make this shit up…

Everyone should wait. But, if India did achieve some kills of Pakistan jets, Twitter/X will be full of Indian posts celebrating the win. That did not happen so it is a sure sign that India was defeated.

Pakistan shot down five Indian aircraft in 'defensive' act, military spokesperson says

By Charmayne Allison

Pakistani military spokesperson, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has given further detail on its retaliation against India's missile strikes.
"So far, I can confirm you that five Indian aircrafts including three Rafale, one SU-30 and one MiG-29 have been shot down, and one Heron drone has also been shot down," he said.
"I would also like to emphasise that all of these engagements have been done as a defensive [act] ... after the Indian aircraft attacked the fire on the Pakistani territory."
He said one of the "engagements" took place near Bhatinda in India.
"And there are other locations also as the information keeps on coming, I'll keep on updating," he said.
Lieutenant General Chaudhry condemned India's attack as a "cowardly act" where the "serenity of the country has been violated".
He pointed to article 51 of the UN charter, which recognises the inherent right of individual or collective self-defense if a member state is subjected to an armed attack.
"We have all the right of defending ourselves," he said.
"And in light of that article, and of the international rules, we are defending the people of Pakistan."
