we're going to need the "fog of war" to clear
This will take a while. As Blitzo said a few pages back, it will take weeks for us to get a clear image of what happened. Although I must say, it doesn't look too good for India from where we stand now.
At least one official confirmation by Indian Govt:
This is good. I had seen no news of an ejection flare, or pilot being rescued by locals.
India's corruption is really that bad huh
It is not 'corruption' so much as incompetence and a more-hostile-than-usual environment. Poor quality hangars expose aircraft to humid air constantly, and technicians are said to occasionally reassemble parts of aircraft, and still have screws left over. Of course, corruption does not help, but I do not think it is the primary culprit.
Everything is so confusing coz of back and forth reporting.
It will remain so for some time. I would recommend not going on Twitter for the time being. There is far too much chaff to separate the wheat from.

I recall this as well, but I do not remember the source. I think the Qataris? had some good things to say about the relative performance of the aircraft.

Looks like J-10CE did quite well against Qatari Eurofighters. Sino-canard vs Euro-canard. Canard-on-Canard violence.

If someone could please post the Simpsons monkey fighting jpg I'd be much obliged.
